each day CamPermanent loses connection to my ip cams (W-Lan) and USB webcams
This ist especially bad because the contact cannot be reestablished after it was losen. Somehow CamPermanent ist able to recontact the cams. The screen remains black and says: "No Cam".
I don't think that the cams (ABUS tv7230 und TV7204, beide per W-Lan und Logitech Quickcam 9000 pro) are the problem since i can access them in the same manner from another comuter with another software no problems at all (only the IP cams vie W-Lan, not the usb cam!).
The connections don't break off all at once but step by step in an irregular way.
Running Win Xp SP3 .net FX 2.0 and DirectX 9 on my computer.
Reinstalling the identical system does'n help at all.
It's not that critical that the connections get lost but that CamPermanent cannot reestablish the connections is really bad!!
The Software is extremely powerful in configuration once you know how to get through the menues. That terrific! But the main issue of the software is its stability.
A continous (i.e. permanent) surveillance of objects in a serious way for days or even weeks is simply not possible with this software.
