I am looking for a software to see what is going on at home while i'm at work. I'm going to use several usb webcams on the maincomputer but also on network computers in my house.
I want to receive an email with pictures or better with a movie clip when motion is detected. Also i would like to upload live movie clips to my website from the cameras where is motion detected.

Do I need campermanent for this or can i use camuniversal for that.

thank you for the answers

Holger

Hello,

you can use CamUniversal for this purpose.

CamPermanent has additional the ability to record permanent from your cameras. But it seems, that you don't need this feature!
Comparison of the products: http://www.crazypixels.com/compare.htm

With Camuniversal you can run the motion detector and capture a picture or record a video if a motion occurs.
The picture could be sended by email direct when the motion occurs.
If you record a video at motion detection, you can record as long as a motion is there or you record for a certain length.
You can use the scheduler to send these recorded videos by email or upload them via ftp in intervals.

To view your cameras live form your website you can use the integrated webserver. Sample: http://www.crazypixels.com/camuni-cam.htm

Hi Holger,

I use CamUniversal to do almost the same as you except I capture pictures rather than video.
