Is it possible, that you put in a trigger, if a signal is lost for more than x minutes, that a mail / sms is sending to diff. peoples sim likes an alarm-message?
Why?
If a cam is stolen there is no real point to check this event...
and the motion-detection does not runs at this point. i testet it and nothing appears...

could you than enter a menu, that in the event of stolen camera, a isdn-connection builds up, and a wave-file sending it ( like that :
1. cam is stolen/defect
2. camuni get this info
3. camuni start a isdn-connection / audio to the owner
4. camuni plays per audio on isdn-conn a wave file like
==> "Hey Boss, Camera1 is stolen or defect, please let John check this cam"
5. camuni open a window like ,,Is camx stolen [YES] [NO]" and in the case of yes, it paused the recording of camx.
6. John could check the cams clicks yes or no
7. chief is lucky, that camuni informs so quickly.
8. thief was catched, the cam was in his bag, is on wall mounted again, and all are lucky (without the thief)...
